The Most Meaningful Holiday!

There are many holidays in my home country, Korea. We have New year’s day, Children’s day, Memorial day, Independence day, Buddha day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. They have each important meaning. My favorite holidays and the most meaningful holidays are New year’s day and Thanksgiving of them. There are some reasons why I like New year’s day and Thanksgiving.
In Korea, many people have memorial ceremony for their ancestors on New year’s day and Thanksgiving traditionally. It makes some people, especially women, hard and get stressed that preparing the ceremony on the holidays because the ceremony is need certain food and a lot of caring. On the other hand, my family does not prepare the ceremony on the holidays, for we believe in God. That is why we can enjoy the meaning of the holidays without getting stressed.
On the holidays, all of my families gather to celebrate the holidays without ceremony. We always discuss what we eat on holidays before the day; then, we bring the foods from each home and eat them on the holiday playing traditional games.  I can feel the family love and happy on the holidays, so the holidays are most meaningful for me.
